Fayard and Harold Nicholas were a famous dancing duo nicknamed "The Nicholas Brothers." They were born in 1914 and 1921 in Mobile, Alabama, and began performing as child vaudeville performers in the 1920s. They were known for their acrobatic and precise tap dancing, as well as their elegant and sophisticated style.
The brothers went on to star in several films, including "Kid Millions," "Down Argentine Way," and "Stormy Weather." They also performed on Broadway and internationally, showcasing their talent and earning critical acclaim.
Despite facing racism and discrimination during their careers, the Nicholas Brothers remained determined and continued to pioneer new dances and techniques. They were admired by legendary performers such as Fred Astaire and Michael Jackson, and their impact on the world of dance continues to be felt to this day. Fayard Nicholas passed away in 2006, while Harold Nicholas died in 2000.
